Our special project this week involves citizen science...collecting ants for the School of Ants! With a few basic supplies of index cards, plastic bags, and cookies we will trap ants to send to scientists who study the diversity and density of ants in the United States. You can help by setting up the traps, collecting data, or eating the extra cookies not needed in the traps. We will leave our traps outside for one hour, so you will have time to read, craft, or play between setting and collecting the traps.
